Kizomba B FPSO

Client: Hyundai Heavy Industries

Operating off the coast of Angola, Kizomba B is one of the world’s largest FPSO vessels, with a storage capacity of 2.2 million barrels. PV provided third party inspection services for 34,000 tonnes of topsides processing equipment. Timely inspection services were considered a very important part of the success of this vessel being delivered to the client five months ahead of schedule.

 


Agbami FPSO

Client: DaeWoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME)
Operated by an affiliate of ChevronTexaco

Located in the Niger Delta, Agbami  is currently one of the largest FPSO vessels and will be utilized in the Agbami field, Nigeria’s largest deepwater discovery to date. PV provided the majority of QA/QC related services during procurement, construction and commissioning of 31,000 tonnes of topsides processing equipment.


Eirik Raude

Client: Irving Shipyard Limited
Owned by Ocean Rig ASA

Designed for deepwater exploration and drilling activities, the Eirik Raude is designed to operate in the harsh environmental conditions offshore Eastern Canada and Northern Norway and is the world’s largest harsh environment semi-submersible drilling rig. PV provided third party and on-site inspection services to the Irving Shipyard during the outfitting and conversion of the rig.



Terra Nova FPSO

Client: PetroCanada

One of the largest FPSOs ever built, the Terra Nova FPSO is about the size of three football fields laid end to end, and stands more than 18 storeys high. The vessel can store 960,000 barrels of oil and accommodate up to 120 personnel while producing in the harsh environment offshore the East Coast of Canada. PV provided third party inspection services to the owners (including Petro-Canada, Exxon Mobil Canada Properties, Norsk Hydro, Husky Energy, Murphy Oil, Mosbacher, and Chevron) during the construction phase. We continue to support the client during steady state operations with a variety of operational and inspection support services.


Horizon Oil Sands Project/CNRL

Client: Technip as primary contractor for the Primary Upgrader (upgrade portion) of this project.

PV provided third party services to the project, which included inspection of two of the largest coke drums ever built in Canada. Additional inspection services for the primary upgrade and hydrogen cracker system involved over 55 miles of pipe and 75 pressure vessels. Work was completed five months ahead of schedule.
